Speaker, Author & Host of THE CONVERSATION TABLE
EDUCATE. MOTIVATE. INSPIRE.
Born in Quito, Ecuador and adopted and raised in a small midwestern city in the United States, JC Hurtado-Prater is a motivational speaker, author and founder & host of The Conversation Table, a talk show dedicated introducing new people, exploring fresh ideas and illuminating difficult issues. The core philosophy surrounding The Conversation Table is the belief that rigorous conversation is the key to understanding the complex world in which we live.
JC, a veteran of the United States Army, non-profit leader and minister, has given his life to exploring and communicating complex issues. The Conversation Table is a non-biased platform in which the viewer can hear both sides to many current issues and work to reach their own conclusions. The purpose is to spark conversation for the purpose of growth and change.
In addition to his work as a minister and talk show host, JC spends a great deal of time using his voice to motivate and inspire the next generation of leaders. Because JC's greatest belief is that human beings have an innate desire for continuous growth, he spends time speaking to high school and college students with purpose of reaching as many of today's youth, especially black and brown students, with the message of Black AND Brown Excellence and the steps to create and sustain it.
JC is a graduate of UCLA with an MBA from Saint Joseph's College of Maine and is currently working towards a doctorate in Education, Policy and Organizational Leadership through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. JC makes his home in San Diego, CA where he spends his free time reading, working out, hiking and kayaking.
